Katonah Cooks

A Community Cookbook

A collection of recipes from the people, places, and tables that make Katonah home — past and present.

THE PROJECT

Good tables make
good neighbors.

Katonah Cooks is a cookbook rooted in the Katonah community. Every recipe comes with a local connection that makes it more than just ingredients and instructions.

We have applied digital tools to collect recipes and create a physical book, so that these dishes can live long and prosper, so to speak, on deserving tables anywhere.

In the spirit that the best foods and drinks are best shared, Katonah Cooks is designed to present the kind of recipe you really would share with a neighbor, a friend, or a guest. We baked-in quality and authenticity by having every recipe peer-tested.

And as the recipes bring flavor, their contexts aim to add color.  Katonah is rich in history, peppered with traditions, and always buzzing with activity (OK, at least until 8:00),

Katonah Cooks was and is a communal project to capture and share the recipes that help make Greater Katonah.

01 - Submit a Recipe

Share a recipe with a meaningful connection to the Katonah area — a market ingredient, a family tradition, a neighbor's handwritten card.

How It Works

02 - Tell the Story

Every recipe includes a few sentences about its Katonah connection. That's what makes the book fun to read, not just cook from. Fill us in.

03 - Test a Recipe

All recipes are tested by other contributors before printing. The community vets itself — that's what makes every dish trustworthy.

Have a recipe with a Katonah story?

We're looking for dishes from current and former residents, local restaurants, farms, and anyone with a meaningful connection to the greater Katonah area.
